The project

A new perspective.
A familiar place.

In a wooded Bloomington neighborhood, this whole-home renovation turned a neglected property into an open, inviting place to live. A garage addition and the conversion of the original garage into a family room changed how the home could be used.

01 / The challenge

Tighter-than-expected property lines and the discovery of a deep well required the team to rethink parts of the plan during construction.

02 / The approach

The new garage and deck were adjusted to work within the property boundaries. Inside, the old garage became a family room, adding a new gathering space to the home.

03 / The result

A complete interior renovation, a new garage and a reworked deck brought the property together—connecting bright living spaces with its private, wooded setting.
